1. Booking and Confirmation: All bookings made through our website at martin@pooltjieselfcatering.com for Pooltjie's Self Catering Overnight CC are subject to acceptance and availability. A reservation is confirmed once the at least 50% deposit (not refundable) payment has been successfully processed and a confirmation email has been issued.

2. Rates and Currency: All rates quoted are in Namibian Dollars (NAD) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

3. Check-in and Check-out Times:

   • Check-in: From 15:00 onwards.

   • Check-out: By 10:00 on the day of departure.

4. Guest Responsibilities: Guests are expected to respect the property, observe house rules (such as no smoking inside units), and compensate the establishment for any loss or damage caused during their stay.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy

1.We understand that plans can change. Cancellations are subject to the following terms based on the notice given prior to arrival:

• Less than 7 days before arrival: 100% of the total booking amount is forfeited.

• 7 to 14 days before arrival: 100% of the deposit is forfeited.

• 15 to 21 days before arrival: 50% of the deposit is forfeited.

• 22 to 30 days before arrival: 25% of the deposit is forfeited.

• More than 30 days before arrival: Full deposit refund (less potential administration fees).

2.Modifications: Any requests for date changes or booking modifications must be submitted in writing to martin@pooltjieselfcatering.com and are subject to availability and management approval.  

3.Merchant Chargeback Protection: By completing a booking and agreeing to these terms, the cardholder acknowledges and accepts this non-refundable cancellation policy. The merchant reserves the right to provide these agreed terms to financial institutions as proof of authorization to prevent fraudulent chargebacks.

PART A: HOUSE RULES

·         Check-In & Check-Out: Check-in is from 15:00; check-out is strictly by 10:00.

·         No Smoking: Smoking and Vaping is strictly prohibited inside the unit. Please use outdoor areas.

·         Quiet Hours: Respect our neighbours. No excessive noise between 22:00 and 06:00.

·         Pet Policy: Pets stay free but must be house-trained and kept off beds/furniture. Clean up waste immediately.

·         Visitors: Only registered guests may stay overnight. Visitors must depart by 22:00.

·         Air Conditioner (AC): Powered by solar energy. Keep the AC set to 22°C. Do not set it lower than 22°C or higher than 23°C.

PART B: INDEMNITY & LIABILITY WAIVER

1. Disclaimer: The management and staff of Pooltjie's Self-Catering Overnight accept no liability for personal injury, illness, death, loss, theft, or damage to property/vehicles sustained by any guest or pet while on the premises.

2. Unit & Access: Use of the ground-floor unit and its wheelchair-accessible features is entirely at your own risk.

3. Safety & Fire: Guests assume full responsibility for the safe operation of kitchenette appliances (microwave, air fryer, kettle). Braai facilities must be supervised at all times and fully extinguished after use.

4. Parking: Vehicles parked in the designated under-cover bays right in front of the unit entrance are left entirely at the owner's risk.

5. Pet Liability: Guests assume total financial and legal liability for any property damage, deep-cleaning needs, or personal injuries caused by their pets.

6. Wi-Fi & Tech: Free Wi-Fi and Netflix are complimentary conveniences. The establishment is not liable for data loss or digital security breaches.

7. Jurisdiction: This agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia. Any legal disputes fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Namibian courts. 

Declaration by Guest:
I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and voluntarily accept all house rules and indemnity terms on behalf of myself and all guests accompanying me during our stay.
